My Favorite Writer (Expository Paragraph)

My Favorite Writer (Expository Paragraph)

Jacqueline Wilson is my all time favorite writer. She wrote books that relate to teenagers, especially girls. When I was in grade three, I borrowed a book from the library called ”Best Friends” and it was one of my favorite books. It was about a precious friendship between two girls and they had been together since they were born. Through the story, I could stroke a cord with the characters and relate to the feelings I had with them. Since then, I appealed to Jacqueline’s style of writing and her charming way of getting the readers relate to her stories.

Furthermore, Jacqueline Wilson wrote stories based on real life, including romance, break-ups, families, friendships and so on. She had many good topics for her stories and many of them were unique and could make me read again and again. Sometimes, stories could make me laugh but also sad at the same time. Also, her writing style was humorous and heart touching. Besides, the illustrations of covers and inside the chapters are beautiful and interesting. I loved her book so much that I had collected nearly twenty of her books on my shelf. Sometimes in leisure time, I would pick up one of them and instantly fall in love with her story again. Jacqueline Wilson’s book was one of my childhood memories that I treasure. I certainly appreciate her writing and she was definitely a writer that I would recognize to anyone.

My Road Trip(Descriptive Paragraph)

My Road Trip(Descriptive Paragraph)

I can never forget the beautiful and peaceful alley that my grandparents lived in when I visited them every time in my precious childhood memories.

When I was little, I loved to visit my grandparents. The village they lived in was once an old Military dependents’ village and walking through the alley of the village was very serene and peaceful, different from the noisy traffic of the city. The village was like a retreat from the turmoil of the world, people would not even notice as they passed by!

The mysterious alley and the warming feeling I felt is the main reason why I loved to pass through the alley. As I stepped in, there was uncle Chen’s noodle shop and it was always full of hungry customers. I could smell the delicious smell of noodle soup in the air coming out of uncle Chen’s noodle shop and I could never forget the tasty chewy noodles! As I passed by, I could always see the warming smile on the neighbors faces and chatting with happily when I walked by their front door. They were warm-hearted and talking to them was so easy going and relaxed. Every time I met them, the neighbors would greet to me and asked if I have grown taller. I always giggled and said: "Yes!" It felt so good to be always welcomed and I love the fact that the village is full of nice, uniting neighbors who help each other and living in harmony. More over, my grandma has green finger and she has planted plenty of beautiful, exuberant plants to decorate the pathway of their front door. Every time I stepped in the valley, I could always see the lovely and cheerful green plants greeting to me as I walked by. These are the reason why passing through the village to my grandparents house is always joyful.

I’m grown up now and I seldom get the chance to visit my grandparents, they moved out because the government’s buildings replaced the village. Although the village has gone, the beautiful scenery, the memories I had with the neighbors, the delicious taste of the noodle soup is a precious treasure to me that I would never forget.

My Road Trip(Narrative Paragraph)

My Road Trip

One of the best things to visit my grandparents is passing through the beautiful and peaceful alley that they live in.

When I was little, I love to visit my grandparents. The village they lived in was once an old Military dependents’ village and walking through the alley of the village is very serene and peaceful, different from the noisy traffic of the city. I love to watch the warming smile on the neighbors faces and chatting with them happily when I walked by their front door. Every year, I’ll visit my grandparents three or four times. The neighbor's would greet to me and asked if I have grown taller. I always giggled and said:"Yes!" It feels so good to be always welcomed and I love the fact that the village is full of nice, uniting neighbors who help each other and living in harmony. More over, my grandma has green finger and she has planted plenty of beautiful, exuberant plants to decorate the pathway of their front door. Every time I stepped in the valley, I can always see the lovely green plants greeting to me as I walked by. These are the reason why passing through the village to my grandparent’s house is always  joyful.

I'm grown up now and I seldom get the chance to visit them, they moved away because the village was replaced by the government's buildings. Although the village was gone, the beautiful scenery and memories of the alley is unforgettable.
